Well, this weekend went by way too quickly. We spent most of Saturday getting the two youngest girls ready for the Metroplex Children's Choir concert at the Meyerson in Dallas. They did a wonderful job and we are very proud of them.
Sunday we finished painting our front door. It is now Posh Red! It really shows off our new Valentine's day wreath which I will post pictures of tomorrow. We also tried out a new recipe for Dreamsicle cookies from a good friend, Kay. They are made using Tang and white chocolate chips. Enjoy!
Dreamsicle Cookies
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 3/4 cups flour
1 1/2 cups of vanilla chips
1 tspn vanilla
1/2 cup Tang instant mix
1/2 tspn baking soda
1/2 tspn baking powder
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Cream together butter and sugar. Add the remaining ingredients except for the chips. Mix together thoroughly. Stir in vanilla chips. Make one inch balls and place them onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes, just until the edges of the cookies are lightly browned. Cool for 5 minutes. Yields 4 dozen cookies.
